NOT A WINTER MANTLE

I hope you are all having a great week!
Around here things are slowly going back to normal and I have been updating our home a bit for the new year.

Little by little the rooms are coming together but I have chosen not to decorate our home for winter and just went with an "everyday" look and color pattern. The same was the case with our mantle.

DIY BOXWOOD WREATH

I always have the same problem every January, how to decorate our front porch after the holidays.
In no time at all we will be decorating for Valentines and Spring soon after, but for now I decided to use what I already had to make a new wreath for the front door.

ORGANIZING OUR PANTRY

With the new year underway, like many of you I have been busy organizing our home.
Our kitchen pantry is my first project every January since it can get pretty chaotic in there during the holiday season.

A couple of years ago I emptied the whole pantry, went to Dollar Tree and bought several plastic containers and gave my pantry a small makeover. I am happy to say this system has worked sooo well since then.
It has proved to be very easy and convenient to put groceries away and keeping everything in place.

SMALL CHANGES IN OUR HOME LIBRARY

Hello, everyone!
Since I got home from my trip overseas, it seems all I have done is try to catch up.
I was out of commission the first few days since the jet lag had me sleep half of the day and awake all night.
It is really weird when your body wants breakfast at 2:00 AM. :)

I seem to be back to normal now and I have spent the last week getting my home back in order after the holidays.
Although I have made several changes, I don't have all the rooms finished just yet.
The older I get, the longer it takes me. :)

As I am trying to put some posts together, I realized I had not shared with you the changes I made to our home library right before Thanksgiving. With all the craziness I truly forgot!

TUESDAYS AT OUR HOME #143 & FEATURES

WELCOME!

Happy New Year, everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful celebration. We enjoyed a very much needed quite time this past weekend.
Spent it at home taking down the rest of the Christmas decor, trying to figure out what to do with a very
empty house :) and just relaxing the rest of the time.

This week is back to reality. We have officially survived the holidays, everyone is back to work today
and we should all be back to regular schedules in a few days.

And now it is time to take a look at last week features.

Laura at Inspiration For Moms shared a wonderful collection of healthy snacks under 150 calories. Great post!

Brenda at Much More Creative  made a beautiful Winter owl sign.

If you need dinner inspiration, Crystal at Crystal & Co. shared 31 wonderful crockpot recipes.

Sherri at To Simply Inspire made her own peppermint lip balm.

Virginia at Fynes Designs is making gorgeous decor items with her new scroll saw.

Taylor at Pink Heels Pink Truck made Maple Bacon Cinnamon Rolls. They look delicious!
